So this quote means a lot to me, as well as all the other set kids at Avon HS. We literally never left a day of set without Mr. Simons saying this. It's 'our thing' so to say... and I love it!!! So drama club, especially set, holds a very dear place in my heart because I love theatre and love working with people that share my passion. I had this idea of doing myself holding the comedy and tragedy masks awhile ago but didn't pursue it for awhile. Then I took the clothing and made them resemble what I typically wear to set, aka pants with paint all over them (because I'm the '  aint head' and am in charge of all the painting of the set), and a shirt with one of our favourite slogans on it (We do it in the dark because the techie crew moves everything in the dark!!!). And then I sprinkled in a bit of irony with the character being onstage, in front of the curtain with lights shining on her, it contradicts the "we do it in the dark" saying.... So yeah... I am pretty pleased with how the colouring turned out... there was a bit of bleeding but I tried to fix it as well as I could... and the pants came out really cool! Done in Prisma Colour and Copic Markers 2.5 hours |
